Meet Memory and Precious our Kipper department Childminders. Memory started working at Ruzawi in 2015 and has recently moved to the Kipper Department where she assists the Stanley matron. Mem loves her job as the children are always smiling but the best times for her are playtime and teatime. One of her favourite things to do with the boys is making the beds in the morning as they do it using the Karate Chop (she says the boys love this concept). Memory is married to Paul the security guard who has been working here since 2000 and have one daughter who is turning 21 this year. Memory loves being part of the school that feels like a big family that showers you with support and encouragement. Precious started working in the laundry in 2003 and after 8 years moved to the Kipper department and works closely with the Bob Williams matron. She said this was a good change, as she never has time to think of anything else whilst at work apart from the children. Her favourite time is in the playground when the children are their happiest and where there is always laughing, happy faces and lots of joking. Precious is married to the Head of laundry, Alfonzo who has been working here since 1988. They have 4 children together the eldest is 23 and the youngest is 4 and Precious feels blessed to be a part of the Ruzawi family. For some of our Kippers, their most “Precious Memory” of Ruzawi maybe Precious and Memory. They are involved in all aspects of the children’s dorm life, keeping a close eye on the children and making sure their environment is a clean, safe and functional one. Most importantly, they CARE for the children and they both show real understanding. Precious and Memory are absolute champions, their love for our Kippers is greatly appreciated and they are both fondly remembered by the children throughout their time here at Ruzawi.
