Dylan and Hayley

Meet Dylan and Hayley, the dynamic duo that runs the catering and housekeeping at Ruzawi! They both grew up in Mutare and attended school at Hillcrest. They soon fell in love and have been together ever since. Dylan and Hayley spent a number of years in the UK, but home was always in the back of their minds. ‘When we returned to Zimbabwe, we were employed at Tiger Safaris in Chirundu where we had 6 happy years in the bush, which we both loved.’ Mana is the oldest of their children and they have been blessed with twins, Sabi and Harley. ‘Applying for the position of caterer at Ruzawi (while working at the American Embassy) was a huge step out of both of our comfort zones, as we have both only ever known the tourism industry. Following a tour around the school and meeting some of the staff, we were sold. A few months later our lives would take a new turn and the next chapter began at Ruzawi. We are delighted to be at this amazing school and a part of the wonderful community. We look forward to our children attending Ruzawi and being a part of this special community for some years to come. Dylan, Hayley and their beautiful children have added such positive energy and enthusiasm to our Ruzawi Family. Dylan has engaged our kitchen team and challenged them to step out of their comfort zone. Hayley is dynamic and efficient and has led the housekeeping team during the recent Covid19 pandemic to ensure that the safety of all members of our Ruzawi family has been their main priority. Hayley and Dylan’s passion for the environment has seen Ruzawi’s recycling efforts grow significantly over their time here. Hayley has also mentored and guided the Clean Marondera ladies and they are now making all different wares out of recycled goods. We are very blessed to have the Taylor Family.
