Our Grade 4’s started with theme-based learning online and enjoyed it so much it has been continued in the classroom. Chocolate was a theme that everyone was interested in! The children were engaged in project-based learning to complete a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) activity by designing and making a ‘Luxury Box of Chocolates’. “It was so much fun!” was echoed around both classes but little did the children know how many topics across all subject areas were covered. The boxes were filled with chocolates made by the children and taken home with pride.
